Case Studies

One of the main challenges faced by local agencies is the public perception that homelessness can be addressed by a simple
“bed-and-breakfast” solution.

In fact, homelessness results from a wide range of causes, including:
family breakdown: job loss: psychological and/or physical abuse: drug, alcohol or substance misuse: deficient learning: poor coping ability – and all are major causes of homelessness in Swindon which have to be addressed to provide a sustainable solution.
