Fundraising & Sponsorship

We have been hit with several pressures on our security of funding. The South West’s Supporting People funding has been reduced, and the funding for Swindon will be further reduced over the next 5 years by £760,000.
In addition, there is no funding for our substance misuse hostel - The Old Appleyard. This was set up in 2005 from our financial reserves, and we anticipate that adequate funding can be found to avoid the closure of this important service. To this end we are working to attract funding from corporate companies, Foundations & Trusts, Supporting People Grant, Local Authority Lifelong Learning and Homelessness Prevention Fund.
How You Can Help

If You're A Company: we enjoy productive relationships with our corporate donors and sponsors. Companies can either make general donations to Threshold, or sponsor particular activities.
We also welcome companies making their employees’ time available to help us. This volunteering not only benefits Threshold and our clients, but the individuals develop their skills and motivation from such extra-curricular involvement.
Individuals:
all our projects can benefit from more funding, so financial donations are always welcome, as are blankets, tinned food and other equipment for our clients. Please contact us if you have anything you’d like to donate.
Give As You Earn is a good way to assist our charity on a small but regular basis. For every £5 you pledge through GAYE, we receive £5.50 as the donation is taken from your salary before tax is deducted.

You can also donate online NOW through our QuickDonate process.

"Security of funding enables us to further improve our service, plan over a longer period, evaluate our operations more thoroughly, and create value for money for the funders."
